Smith to North Clark 345 kV Transmission Line

East Kentucky Power Cooperative has constructed one 345 KV line and another is under construction in central Kentucky.  The 19-mile Smith to North Clark 345 kV transmission line was completed in 2006 and the 36-mile Smith to West Garrard 345 kV transmission line is currently under construction and due to be completed in 2009.  These EHV lines were constructed to complete a second EHV path across Kentucky to accommodate the high level of north-south transfers that are common for the region.
